Ready before the round starts.
Check your camera, microphone and connection before joining an opponent. The current ranked beta requires both camera and microphone access.
If permission was denied
- Check that you opened the official Larpit access route and are signed into the intended account.
- In a browser, open that site’s camera and microphone permission controls. On a native app, check Larpit’s permissions in your phone or computer’s system settings. Labels differ by device and browser.
- Allow the inputs you intend to use. Close other apps or tabs using the same camera or microphone, then reopen Larpit’s preview before joining a match.
Only grant access to a site or app you trust. Do not disable browser security protections or install unofficial software to fix a permission problem.
If the camera preview is blank
Check the physical camera cover, device-level camera switch and selected camera where your device offers that choice. Disconnect an unused external camera if the wrong source is active. Close video-call software that may hold the device, then reopen the preview. Good lighting helps items remain visible, but lighting and presentation do not establish their authenticity or value.
If you cannot hear each other
Check microphone permission, mute state, output volume and whether audio is going to Bluetooth headphones. Ask the other participant to check their own output if they cannot hear you. Audio is transmitted live to the matched participant; it is not recorded or sent to the visual judge.
If the connection drops
Use a stable connection and keep Larpit in the foreground during the round. If an input or connection is unreliable, fix it before joining again. Leaving before a live round begins cancels the attempt without LP; choosing Leave after it begins is a forfeit.
An unexpected one-sided interruption has a five-second reconnect grace. Early, mutual or ambiguous outages can void the round instead. See the authoritative disconnect rules; reconnecting does not guarantee a particular result.
Still stuck?
Use the available support channel. Include the app version, device, browser if relevant, approximate time and the visible error. Send any session reference privately. Do not send your password, login code or an opponent’s image in a public post.
The privacy policy explains live media, the ten sampled judging frames and optional private report evidence. Read camera safety guidance before sharing your surroundings.
